Everyone has a story.
Where we’re at in our own story is different for each of us, similar to a ‘red dot’ on a map at the mall that indicates “you are here”. The Red Dot Coffee Company provides a welcoming, warm atmosphere that offers customers a comfortable place to connect, wherever they are in their story, and engage in conversations.
Not only does The Red Dot Coffee Company appreciate people and their stories, but they are passionate about coffee and its story. The history of coffee goes at least as far back as the 10th century and the word “coffee” entered the English language in 1582 via the Dutch “koffie”. The Red Dot Coffee Company offers a sophisticated drip brew as well as classic espresso drinks made up of superior flavor–even without cream, sugar and syrups.
Wherever your ‘red dot’ may be, we hope to meet you there. We’ll pour the coffee, you pull up a chair–right where you are.
Coffee is more than a commodity.
The Red Dot Coffee Company believes coffee has much to offer. Each coffee has its own story; different in flavors unique to its region, country of origin, and even the farm on which it was grown.
We want to highlight those flavors. That is why we are part of the craft coffee experience. Meaning, we view coffee as a luxury; like fine wine, rather than a commodity. Coffee is grown, processed, roasted, and brewed with precision and care.
We welcome the opportunity to host cupping events to assist and inform our customers, as well as ourselves (there is always more to learn!) in identifying what makes each coffee distinctive.
What is a cupping event?
Coffee cupping, or coffee tasting, is the practice of observing the tastes and aromas of brewed coffee. Similar to a wine tasting event, only with coffee! Each cup of coffee is carefully brewed and consumed in a way that highlights the identities of different coffees. Since coffee beans embody telltale flavors from the region where they were grown, cuppers can attempt to identify the coffee’s origin and begin to discover the numerous, diverse flavors of coffee.
So please join us at our cupping events, held once a month, to continue learning and acquiring the different characteristics that coffee has to offer.
